Welcome to a brief tour of our asset capabilities available in Fexa!

Welcome to a tour of our asset capabilities. As you may know, from a work order view within Fexa you can associate an asset to that work order and the asset will actually populate right there and remain related to the work order.

Asset Record Fields & Data

You can also shortcut to the asset record itself from the work order from this assets menu. But once I’m actually in the asset record itself, you’re going to notice that there are some standard fields available to you.

STANDARD ASSET ATTRIBUTES INCLUDE:

• FACILITY ASSOCIATION
• USEFUL LIFE
• CONDITION
• DATE OF ORIGINATION

And then of course, we want to track warranty fields and then down below, you’ll notice we can track custom fields.  There are different types of attributes that you want to track about different types of assets.

WARRANTY FIELDS OPTIONS ARE INCLUDED.

AS ALWAYS, FEXA OFFERS A HIGH DEGREE OF CONFIGURABILITY.

• ASSETS ARE NO DIFFERENT.
• YOU CAN CONFIGURE CUSTOM WORKFLOW FOR EACH DIFFERENT CLASSES OF ASSETS.
• WITHIN EACH CLASS OF ASSET, YOU CAN CONFIGURE CUSTOM FIELDS TO TRACK THE ATTRIBUTES THAT ARE RELEVANT FOR THAT CLASS.

And I’m just going to flip very briefly to show you where the asset template lives where you can add custom fields anytime.

IF you go under this administration menu, and you click on asset templates, you’ll notice that the templates that are available to me, the top one is the HVAC unit. And these are those custom fields that you noticed on the asset record manufacturer:

• Tonnage
• Serial number
• Filter size, etc.

But if I wanted to add another custom field or another attribute to track, I would simply just click the plus sign. And if you had the proper permissions, you would actually add the kind of attribute you wanted to track.  So if I wanted to add dimensions, for example, and I can choose that I want to associate that with the HVAC unit template. I can identify what kind of data it is – Is it a textfield, toggle date, or a number of field? And then I can go ahead and click SAVE.

Then you’ll notice that the new attribute field is going to show up on the HVAC unit. So if I go back into my asset record, you’ll notice I now have a dimensions field.

Managing asset maintenance spend in real time

You’ll notice that we’ve always had this outline overview up here how much I spent on this asset, but now we actually have a calculator where you can view real time repair versus replace decisions in the asset. So there’s a blank field here called perspective cost. And if I’m getting a proposal, let’s just say my HVAC unit is down, there’s no cooling, and it’s going to cost me let’s just say $12,000. to repair. You can leverage the inherent asset data in Fexa associated with the asset, inclusive of depreciation and prior maintenance spend – reactive and preventative – to get a real time visual view of whether or not it will make sense to go forward with the repair at hand.  You can make the smartest decisions on the fly.

Documents, images, manuals & more associated with your assets right at your fingertips

A couple of other key things to note about our assets. We have the ability to house documents – this can be inclusive of images, manuals, special instructions, and more.

Tracking components & sub-components

Here is where you’re able to track asset parts and components.   These asset parts each have their own distinct attributes and data points. Obviously these parts are reportable and are also treated as products. So you can associate these parts with the invoicing process.

Mobile asset management & tracking as well!

On the Fexa app that’s available on iOS and Android, you have the ability to access asset data and also create new assets in real time. So you’ll notice that it shows up on the menu of the mobile app based on permissions, I can actually from this asset, create a work order and that work order will be associated with that asset. When you can create assets on the fly, you can immediately associate work with that asset.

The other really cool thing that I’ll mention is with these asset capabilities, one of the things that we’ll be delivering in the very near future  is asset tagging.  We will soon be launching our asset tagging capabilities and partnerships during early 2022.
