DevOps Manager

Summary
The DevOps Manager is responsible for helping design, implement, and maintain our cloud infrastructure
that supports our Fexa Ruby On Rails application. The person in this role should have a strong background in
AWS architecture design, and an AWS Solutions Architect certification is preferred.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Director Of DevOps as well as other key stakeholders to design, implement, and
maintain our infrastructure. - Own major stakes in 2024 initiative to modernize our infrastructure.
- Help design and maintain a scalable, reliable, maintainable, and repeatable architecture for the Fexa
Platform to run on. - Document our infrastructure and create runbooks for both the internal team, and for external DevOps
partners. - Respond to internal escalations when there are likely infrastructure-related service issues.
- Upon completion of the modernization project, manage the DevOps team and partners.
- Build and manage a high-performing team of DevOps employees to execute projects, being highly
engaged in the recruiting and interviewing processes (including sourcing offshore candidates or vendors
as needed) and instilling DevOps best practices and standard operating procedures. - Build a strong culture and environment where individual engineers develop with quality, strive to
continuously improve, and consistently deliver on their commitments. - All other responsibilities as assigned by the VP of Engineering

- Client Service: Demonstrates strong commitment to meeting the needs of both internal and external
customers striving to ensure their satisfaction. - AWS Architecture: Has been involved in the design and implementation of a scalable architecture in AWS
- Collaboration: Is able to work with DevOps team, and the greater engineering team to develop solutions
that benefit the team and the company - Project Management: This role will be in charge of infrastructure projects with many moving parts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or related experience; minimum of five (5) to ten (10) years of experience within Technology preferred.
- SAA-C03 – AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
- Skills in strategic planning and execution, including the ability to align goals with those of the business.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with a proven track record of supporting and managing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in programming languages, software development methodologies, and modern development tools and frameworks.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and motivate professional staff
