Sr. Product Marketing Manager

What is the opportunity?
You know the customer better than anyone else at Fexa or our competitors. You are an expert in what makes them buy, use, and cancel our service and will transfer that knowledge internally so that we can continue to dominate our market. You’ll conceive and develop customer and product research, advise marketing on the best messages, and make sure that we are talking about the right “aha” features. You will be a spirited advocate for our customers and make sure that all of us think about them first.
Duties and Essential Job Functions
- Market and Competitive Intelligence – be the expert on our customers, their concerns, and the key factors in their decision making; be the expert on the competition and how to crushthem.
- Conduct competitive analysis and engage in an on-going dialog with customers and non-customers.
- Influence product direction based on market analysis and customer feedback.
Positioning – Develop research-backed product positioning and messaging that differentiates our existing and new products in the market. - Loss expert – Know why customers choose not to buy or leave Fexa. Present this data in a quantitative way that changes minds.
- Evangelize – be the champion for Fexa’s offerings internally through demos and other communication tools to make sure message delivery is consistent.
- Sales enablement – communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools and sales training materials that support the selling process of Fexa’s products.
- Create product collateral, including videos, solution briefs, case studies, demos, presentations, cheat sheets and battle sheets to support sales efforts and demand generation.
- Customer Communication – know our customers and develop a plan for communicating our newly launched features and benefits on a regular basis.
- Support Demand generation – work with demand generation to develop the strategy to drive demand for our products, providing the materials and content for successful campaigns.
- Product Launches – plan the strategy and launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan and collaborate with the marketing team to generate strong momentum ahead of new product launches.
Qualifications
- Associates or bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field or equivalent experience, MBA a plus.
- 3+ years’ experience in product marketing, including proven success in quantitative research, driving messaging, positioning, and go to market strategies
- Experience with Marketo and/or Salesforce.com a big plus
- Prior experience positioning a complex enterprise software product.
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment with the ability to quickly adapt to changes.
