Project Manager, Customer Onboarding

Summary
The Project Manager’s primary responsibility is to manage the post-sales onboarding process for SMB, MM, and enterprise clients, ensuring smooth implementation and timely delivery across complex projects with multiple stakeholders. This role focuses on delivering an efficient and seamless onboarding experience, balancing client needs and internal resources under tight deadlines.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Managing stakeholder expectations and ensuring project timelines are met.
- Communicate platform best practices to clients, ensuring they understand optimal setup and usage for their needs.
- Lead onboarding for enterprise customers, handling most non-technical steps during implementation, setup, and configuration to meet customer specifications.
- Review and import customer data, ensuring all data is formatted correctly for the platform, and address any data issues with the customer.
- Serve as a liaison between clients and internal teams for configuration and customization of our SaaS platform.
- Ensure delegated tasks to clients, team members, and external parties are completed on time to avoid compromising project deadlines.
- Coordinate multiple onboarding projects simultaneously, managing resource assignments and project timelines.
- Capture and communicate client requirements effectively, ensuring all teams are aligned.
- Provide platform training and support, including semi-technical guidance, to help clients optimize usage.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the onboarding process and share best practices with internal teams.
- Support pre-sales efforts by documenting key client requirements during the proposal process.
- Escalate issues promptly to prevent delays and ensure successful project delivery.
- Become an “expert user” of our platform.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience managing enterprise customer projects with multiple stakeholders and strict deadlines.
- Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with SaaS platforms, data imports, and customizations.
- Ability to balance customer expectations with internal development resources.
- Occasional travel for customer training and implementation.
- 2-3 Years experience managing projects to rollout a SAAS product with a customer
- 2-3 years direct experience managing projects with project scheduling tools
- Must understand and have experience using task dependencies to support efficient and effective adherence to project timelines.
- Excellent communication (written & oral) and presentation skills.
- Excellent organization, documentation, and time management skills.
- Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in communicating technical ideas to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to learn new tools and software quickly.
- Positive, self-starter attitude.
